Holiday Packing | Skincare, Body care, Haircare

At this time of year I love reading blog posts about what people are taking on holiday with them. Partly because I'm nosy but also because I find it really helpful when packing myself! I've combined all my skincare, body care and haircare holiday essentials into one blog post so that you can see what I'm taking with me for my two-week trip to Menorca. Let me know what you think of the products I've included and do leave me links to your packing blog posts so that I can have a read!

Skincare

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser – I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple of months now and I really like it (if you’ve read my blog post about fixing my dry skin you’ll know why!) it feels really gentle on the skin and helps to keep it moisturised when I am taking my makeup off which is why I feel like it would be perfect to take on holiday as my skin could get a tad burnt or sensitive after a day in the sun.

The Body Shop Aloe Calming Toner – I’ve nearly finished my Body Shop Vitamin E toner and wanted to opt for one that would be particularly calming and good for sensitive skin in case I do get sunburnt. However, I’m hoping my face will be OK as I will be using a moisturiser with SPF in…

The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturiser SPF 30 – I wanted to take a facial moisturiser with a high SPF with me so that I don’t need to use my suncream on my face and avoid breakouts.

Forever Living Aloe Moisturizing Lotion – I will use this during the evenings before makeup as it is a great base for makeup.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz – I had my eye on this product but was able to receive it for free during my recent visit to The Body Shop when I signed up for their loyalty card. This will be great for popping in my beach bag and freshening up during the day although I’ll get back to you about how much I do actually use it!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-in Moisture Mask – I wanted to take a hydrating face mask on holiday with me. I have my Arbonne one but it doesn’t thrill me and I’ve been so impressed with the Vitamin E range that I thought I’d try this. Again, hopefully this will really help to keep my skin hydrated and plump after days of sunbathing!

Forever Living Aloe Propolis Creme – I’ve got some sample sachets of this thick moisturising cream and while I don’t use it on a day-to-day basis it is great to keep my skin hydrated on nights when I need an extra moisturising boost. I think my mum will be taking her full-sized bottle as well as her Aloe Vera gel which will be great for sunburn patches!

Body care

Arbonne Water-resistant Sunscreen SPF 30 – I took Arbonne sunscreen to Zante two years ago and had a second bottle which has never been opened! It is a fabulous sunscreen free from nasties like mineral oil which are a no-no when sat in the sun!

Arbonne Glow With It After Sun Lotion – this is the same after sun bottle I took to Zante so it is probably technically out of date but hopefully it will still do the job ok, although there is not an awful lot left!

Nivea After Sun Moisturising Soothing Spray – we weren’t sure if the Arbonne after sun would last us the whole two weeks so picked this up in Boots as a backup!

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet – I didn’t think I was going to like this range but after trying this in the store I had to bring it home with me, it smells absolutely incredible and feels so delicious on the skin! I’m taking this with me to use in the evenings.

Tropic Summer Skin Natural Melanin Enhancer – Tropic is a brand that I am really interested in so when I heard they were launching a gradual tanner I had to get my mitts on it for my holiday. I am super careful in the sun so don’t often get a brilliant natural tan so this will be perfect for faking it!

Hair care

Bleach London Silver Shampoo – this is hopefully going to be a lifesaver for my newly-highlighted hair! My hair is very prone to turning brassy so I’ve been drenching my hair in this shampoo recently and I love it so it is a must-have for my suitcase while I’m abroad!

Paul Mitchell Sun Shield Conditioning Spray – again, a hair-saver hopefully! My hairdresser recommended this product to me, you spray it on your hair before going out in the sun to protect the colour. As much as I love ginger hair, it just isn’t for me so I will be soaking my hair in this on a daily basis haha!

Arbonne SeaSource Detox Spa Fortifying Hair Mask – I must admit, I’ve barely used this! I find hair masks a real faff as you have to leave them on for so long in the shower and I just never know what to do with myself during that time! But my hairdresser strongly suggested taking a mask on holiday to keep my hair in good condition so I’m taking her advice!

Is this too much to take for a 2 week holiday?! What skincare, body care and hair care items would be in your suitcase?
