YSL Beige Tribute | Ways To Wear

When I first showed YSL’s Beige Tribute on itsneecola, I mentioned sometimes wearing it with a lip liner or gloss and thought I would share those with you today. One of the things I love about Beige Tribute is how versatile a shade it is. It can be worn on its own or paired with a lip liner to enhance or change the undertones. A lip liner really helps with the longevity too and there are two that I pair it with the most: Wish Me a Rose and Woo.

Essence lip liners are fantastic and I have shade 12 Wish Me a Rose which looks lovely with Beige Tribute. The lipstick mutes the pinkness ever so slightly so that you’re left with a lovely pinky-nude lip. I love this combo and reach for it whenever I want an easy lip look that I know will flatter me and go with any makeup look. In contrast, Illamasqua’s colouring pencil Woo gives a browner, 90s, Kylie Jenner lip colour. I find all lip pencils to be slightly drying on their own but Beige Tribute leaves the lips feeling moisturised, while the use of a pencil helps with the overall longevity.

For added moisture and a glossier finish I’ve been using Maybelline’s colour elixir in the shade 725 Caramel Infused over the top of Beige Tribute. The two products match quite well in terms of colour and Maybelline is a nice affordable way to change up the look of the YSL lipstick.

Lip-swatch photos aren't my strong point but I hope they have helped in some way to show how the different products work together. I love lip-swatch posts/videos so I will try and up my game to bring better ones to itsneecola!

Which lip look would you reach for? What is your go-to lip pencil/stick/gloss combination?
