Last night I popped round the corner to Oaks Boutique - a gorgeous shop that I have walked past many times before but never actually stepped inside until yesterday! There are actually 3 stores in Leeds (one in Roundhay where the event was held last night, one in Chapel Allerton and one in Horsforth) and now that I've discovered Oaks I will definitely visit the other stores and am very pleased I live so near them all.
It was lovely to see some familiar faces at the event as well as meet bloggers I hadn't come across before. It was also really nice to chat to the ladies working at Oaks as they were so helpful, informative and friendly. We were greeted with a drink and the invitation to have a browse and ask any questions about the stock or the boutique itself. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised when I looked around at various pieces and prices. I had thought that the shop might be more suited to women of an older generation, with a hefty price tag to match, but there really is something for everyone at affordable prices.
The boutique has a really nice feel to it - I think I'd describe it as exclusive and trendy yet affordable and friendly (wow, poet and I didn't know it).
As well as clothes, Oaks sell gorgeous bags, shoes and accessories - what's not to love?! I picked up a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous Burberry-esque scarf that was £15 but we were all given 20% discount at the event which was a bonus!
At the end of the evening we were given goodybags - I was a bad blogger and opened mine before taking photos of it neatly packaged, but I have photographed the non-edible contents for you! (I ate some of the sweets straight away...oops)
In my goodybag there was another scarf, this one blue and oh-so-lovely, and a really nice, sturdy purse which is perfect as I've been looking for one just like it - thank you Oaks!
Overall I had such a great evening at the Oaks Boutique blogger event and I'm so glad I live nearby as I love everything about the store. I've also done a separate post showing you a few of my favourite pieces I spotted last night! You can read that here.
